Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

If relevant, I may use EMDR – a modality for processing trauma and negative belief systems. If that is our plan, I will explain EMDR in detail, but generally it’s a process by which you bring to mind evocative negative memories, while I provide bilateral stimulation in the form of tapping your knees or with sound or vibrating little plastic pods you hold in your hands. I ask questions and provide support as your brain reprocesses the trauma and heals itself. Some educational clips:
